Bedding For Trailer

I went to clark rubber and purchased 2xdouble bed 3" mattresses ..cut in half and had them covered...giant breeds do need a cushion surface for their joints...cost was around $250-00 (I think)for all compartments...you can go to the Op shops and get baby mattresses, they are also great depending on the thickness. My old trailer has carpet down as well...could be an option for you?

I want good padding for my dogs when they travel so each bay has a rubber backed piece of carpet, a double-thickness hessian bed (with cotton cover) then a piece of VETBed and then a towel.

Clark Rubber Mats - high density rubber foam I had covered with waterproof fabric - cost about 150 per berth but big berths & will last for years :). On top of that: in summer I put a light fabric cover I made up like a pillowcase which is cool to lie on and they get a cotton doona - in cooler weather they get rubberbacked drybed & polar fleece blankets. Yeah I know !!!

I only have one little imp who is a thief - Jade, she always has the adjoining berths teddy or bedding as far through into her berth as she can :). Will have to hook up a dvd player for her - she loves cartoons :) . Are we there yet !!!
