One weeny piece of advice that I was given with regard to shading (it can be used for drawing from photo's, to still life, to getting the shadows just right in a landscape) is to look at the subject matter through squinted eyes. The second picture of the Shar Pei I think is much better, in quality. Seems like you took more time doing that one, whereas the lab looks like it was done in a hurry? Yeah i have to agree but its my first proper horse ive done in a long while so either way im still happy with it it can be a 2 mouth horse .
