The measurements are correct, this required distance has to be incorrect. 40ft is approx 12 meters, being required to view a 5cm tall number from that distance is quite a feat ! wayrod Posted April 5, 2011 Share Posted April 5, 2011 I pretty sure the numbers were supposed to be large enough for people outside the rings on the opposite side to be able to see! Was extremely helpful in the days when classes were normally so big that 1/2 hours judging may have still been on the same class, let alone breed. Over the years they have progressively become smaller, maybe at the same time as class sizes.
