I just wanted to say thankyou to Jan, 'Bilbo Baggins' for her reassuring advice and friendly input over the past 24hrs. Breeding dogs is never easy and exspecially when you are rather fresh off the block at it, every litter is different and no matter how much you read, watch or think you may know that more experienced person in your ear can certainly help, so again...THANKYOU JAN!

Also wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes, Much appreciated, now lets get those whelping vibes going for Rebanne.

It isa pleasure to be able to help you. I love whelping pups and if you where around the corner I would have been there with you.

Get some rest today.

Puppies were three weeks old yesterday so I'm adding a couple of more pics. Have started to keep Penny away from them at night as she keeps waking them and me up. When they do wake up I bring her in for a top up.

They have started to use the paper to toilet on as well.

Very cute Poodlesrule. They look quite big for 3 weeks old. Are they? Mine will be three weeks on Sunday and they have started to use the paper to poo and wee too. Clever little munchkins.

Aww they're so cute! Are they moving around much yet?

I woke up to puppy squeals this morning. They tend to squeal when Mango gives them a clean. Such a sweet little noise to wake up to

Oh Rebanne they are beautiful!!!!! Her scar looks nasty - the rescue dogs always had them along between their teats.

It could have gone either place, I went with what the vet was happiest with. It is easier to keep an eye on it there.

They're getting around quick now, as soon as Penny gets in the box it's like a herd of elephants.

They bark and growl now, it's cute, but not at 3 in the morning.

Yeah it would be much easier and would stay dry. I always worried about it drying when it was sandwiched between big fat boobies! Makes sense to have it out of the way! I also used to think that it must hurt having little claws needing at the site though they didn't seem to mind.

Actually it is the worse type to do, because if something went wrong during surgery the vet would have to close the incision before turning the bitch on her back to attend to her.
