Ballot Results

Here are the results of the ballot that Dogs Qld recently sent to members as published on their website

Member Voting Papers Dispatched 7,082

Voting Papers Received from Members 1,177 (represents 16.6% of votes dispatched)

"Yes Votes" for the Concept Support Question 1,073 (represents 91.2% of votes received)

from the results it looks fairly obvious that they will be keeping the existing committee for the next 2 years until the changes to the constitution are made. It is disappointing to see the low number of votes received though.

if they wanted a lot of members to vote, (but of course they did not)

maybe they should have sent the papers out with time to reply,

i received mine on the friday & it had to be in by monday???

I was the same, got mine the Friday - and I didn't get home till after the post closed on the friday, so I could have only posted it on monday  I still did pop it in the post - doubt it would have been counted/got there in time....

Check out the Feb Dog News Australia.

Interesting article.

The reply I got from DogsQld (in regards to the questions I asked re the ballot) were somewhat "clinical" to say the least.

Well I suppose to expect anything more would of been a bonus.

There have also been a few posts on ozshow if you are a member.

Sorry but I am not putting the article on here(except for the part below) nor the response I received.

DNA does say that the RNA were not consulted about the Ballot which took place and that the future direction of the CCCQ should be determined by the members, not the Committee or the RNA.
