Isabel964
One of my dogs eats cat poo. So gross! She goes into the litter tray when its fresh. The litter itself is not an issue - its natural stuff. But eating the waste of another animal can't be good for her. Is it dangerous for her health?
Bundyburger
Pretty normal really.. dogs eat their own poop, duck poop, possum poop.. everything.. so i can't see it hurting her.
claireybell
My beagle LOVES duck poo, nom nom nom. The cocker just loves to roll in it! When I had cats the beagle used to raid the litter tray. My X built an outdoor area fo cats only (think a run that looked like a pergola) and this stopped the beagle eating their poop as she couldn;t get to it. ~Anne~
Mine too. It is disgusting and they also spread the litter everywhere when they do. Thankfully, my puss tends to have a good routine so I usually know when to expect her to have done one and I clean it long beofre the dogs can realise it is there. spoilt lab lives here
Just resurrecting this thread instead of starting a new one. While I was away this weekend my lab somehow got access to the kitty litter..(read dumbd partner left it out and accessible to the dogs) and so he has munched his way through most of the box. Its crystal litter. This morning he was straining a bit and did a small amount of mushy crystaly poo. Is it toxic? and should I be giving him anything to help it pass? Animal House
Ring your vet, does it say on the box/package what it contains?
spoilt lab lives here
Vets said Parrafin oil for a few days see how it goes. I was wondering about giving him parrafin oil last night when I discovered he had gotten into it.
littlesquashyguys
You could ring the manufacturer and ask them what's in it. LOL typical Lab! How hilarious! Seriously though, I hope he's okay. You could also give him some Vitamin C powder, dissolved in water, to flush it out of his system. Austerra
I had a customer that couldn't handle her dog eating the cat's poo, so I suggested she try sprinkling cat litter deodoriser powder on the litter, the dog hated the smell but it didn't bother the cat. Problem fixed.

spoilt lab lives here
And he is back to normal. No more kitty litter poos. Last night was a dinner of boiled rice and he slept outside just incase there was anything left in the tank but it was all clear this morning.
