Hi crew

A friend of mine has just got herself (and family) a gorgeous young pupster. I have been speaking with her regarding the importance of vaccination etc, but also the importance of socialisation and not keeping him under lock and key until the vacc's kick in.

She was saying that there is a rather large stray dog (or camp dog I think she called it) population. So I am presuming that these dogs wouldn't be vaccinated etc... in considering this, does any Alice residents (or anyone else that might know of course) know whether parvo etc is a problem in the area?

Thanks in advance

ABC

I live in Alice and as far as I know, Parvo is pretty common here. that being said, so is mange, esp with the camp dogs. I must say that I havent seen as many camp dogs around lately, since a couple of people got eaten they seem to have put more of an effort in to keep the population under control.

Thanks heaps for that info piper. I thought that that might be the case.

Would you recommend any areas at all? How about trainers/puppy pre school?
