All pet owners and families are invited to the City of Maribyrnong 2011 Pet Expo.

Browse the stalls, talk with local vets, enter competitions for the chance to win fabulous prizes. Our special guest Dr Katrina Warren will advise you on responsible pet ownership and will present prizes.

All Pets Welcome

Bring your pet and enter competitions and lure coursing.

We can mind your pet while you browse the stalls.

Dogs attending the expo must be on leash while cats and other animals must be in a carry safe basket.

Free Show Bags

Show bags, full of information and goodies for your pet, available at the Maribyrnong City Council stall and the Best Friends Pets SuperCentre marquee.

Enter Our Competitions

Lure coursing. It’s free to enter and lots of fun for your dog!

Rally-O. A dog sport based on obedience.

Fill in our survey on the day for the chance to win a Count Dogular hamper valued at $250.

Register for the pet competition at council’s stall. Registrations open from 10am to 12pm.

Pet competition winners will receive a $50 voucher from Best Friends Pet SuperCentre Maribyrnong. There are four categories:

Best dressed pet

Pet that most looks like its owner

Smallest pet

Largest pet

Food and Beverage

There will be plenty to eat and drink including:

sausage sizzle provided by Kirrawarra Scouts

ice creams

soft drinks

mobile cafe

heathy wraps and snacks, fruit salad, smoothies and fresh juices

Discount Microchipping

Discount microchipping at $25 per pet.

You must book online prior to the expo at petregister.com.au/events or contact the National Pet Register on 1300 734 738.

Register Your Pet

You can register or renew your pet at council’s stall.

All City of Maribyrnong residents will receive a Best Friends Pet SuperCentre $10 voucher if they register their pets or renew their registration before 10 April 2011.

Residents in the Brimbank municipality can also register their pets at the City of Brimbank stall.

Footscray Park. Melway reference 42 D2.

Cars enter off Farnsworth Avenue. Plenty of parking.

Pedestrians can walk down from Ballarat Road or along shared Maribyrnong River footway
