gila
Spence had to have his anal glands expressed at the vet today cos he's been butt scooting. He only had them expressed a couple of months ago because they were blocked up. THe thing is, he's 9 years old and this is the first time he's ever had a problem with his anal glands. His stools are firm cos he gets chicken necks with dinner every other night and other bones, usually chicken frames as well. The vet suggested this sudden problem with blocked anal glands might just be because Spence is getting older. Would this be the case? Is there anything I can do to prevent them getting blocked? The only thing the vet suggested was adding more fiber to his diet by giving him weetbix or all bran.
