careisaac
Since it is clear that fleas can survive in their dormant state even during cold weather, I wish to add that using Diatomaceous Earth (DE) would also be a viable alternative pest control method. Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is an algae shell, found at ocean floors, which remains of the sea dwelling algae. It is a fine power with sharp edges that can cut the outer shielding shell of the fleas and other bugs. Also, the fine powder absorbs moisture from to dehydrate the flea and makes it die. I hope this helps to expand the discussion.
