PossumCorner
Camera House my first choice (convenient - can drop by and pick up easily, but they do also mail). Digital Works in Hallam, top pro lab, very quick safe mail service or you can pick up prints. Rabbit Photos chain take-over group, (Photo Xpert) or something, are good up to 4x6 or 5x7. Larger than that I'd prefer Camera House. Harvey Norman and PX aren't dreadful, just not as good as CH or DW for larger prints.

StarLapyz
Bay Photo Lab (www.bayphoto.com) in California do pretty much the best quality prints you can get anywhere in the world. They are a bit expensive though, especially as they are shipped from the US. They also do a very wide range of interesting photo printing options. You can sign up for an account directly with them or I find it easier to upload the photos to SmugMug.com and buy through them. Obviously not the best option if you just want cheap prints, but if you want high quality, stabilised prints with perfect colour and contrast reproduction, they are the place to go. persephone
I don't have many printed, but I do up to A4 myself with a canon pixma printer ..and if I want larger ones for gifts , I get redbubble to do the work for me
TheFenstar
I got some done at Kmart last year and they were perfectly fine. They were just standard 8 x 10 prints. I've also used Camera House on Elizabeth St in Melbourne. I uploaded them and got them delivered. Had quite a few matte ones done for framing and they turned out well.
