Thanks so much everyone for all your suggestions!!

I would really love some Studio Sebastian bowls but have no idea how to get them - has anyone had any luck ordering them direct from Tasmanian?

I clicked on one of the new adverts at the bottom of the page and went to pawspoint.com.au they had some pretty awesome looking bowls. Out of my price range but funky. :)

eta I found this on urban animal re ordering from Studio Sebastian

Studio Sebastian can also take orders for personalised bowls and ship throughout Australia.

Available at selected pet stores and direct. Studio Sebastian ph: (02) 9670 1571 prices start from $8.00

Thanks I saw that but that's an area code for NSW not TAS which is where they've moved :)

Try this one.

There is no website on their card - their address is 33803 Tasman Highway, Tulendeena, TAS and contact 03 63546378
from an old DOL thread.

I'm hoping that they come up to sydney royal again - i would love to get the biggest bowl i can for Zero. He needs an inside water bowl! Both of his buckets are outside.

I'm hoping they're there again this year too :)

Hi Huski!

My girls have these bowls http://www.ozpetshop.com.au/product_info.p...roducts_id/2029 and I love them.

They are a really heavy plastic, with a rubberised base to stop them moving around.

I have a large one for indoor water, and 2 medium ones for food. One pink and one red.

Good luck finding what you want! :)

Hey funnily enough I have these exact bowls for Cherry and Shandi, was hoping to get something a bit different for Mish and Daisy though (don't ask me why). I do like the ones above though, they are great!

I can think of better things to spend my money on than pretty bowls. :D Call me overly practical, but they don't care what they eat out of and I only care that they are safe, don't get pushed all over the kitchen, don't break easily, and don't hurt too much when I stub my toe on them. We also have cheap nylon leashes. Slightly fancier collars, but only because I was looking for something soft and hemp was the toughest soft collar I could find. Treat bags, toys and harnesses, though... Only the best :laugh:

No point having the flashest harness if its connected to a cheap leash! Leashes and collars should be the most functional and strongest you can get not necessarily the most expensive, but definately not cheap and nasty - also depends on the size of the dog, breed etc.

I have stainless bowls but I would like something that doesn't slide around on the tiles, not really interested in ceramic. So stainless and non-skid is my preference.

:) Our leashes get a lot of abuse and I've never had one abruptly fail on me. So there is a point as far as I'm concerned: a cheap leash does the job, and I don't have to worry about whether it's got wet and then dragged through sand, got the clip clogged up, or the handle dunked in seawater. They hold together remarkably well IME. For the harnesses and collars it's more about the dogs' comfort and safety.

I have the bowls pip has. They don't skid and don't chip. I like 'em. :o

I've had cheap leashes snap and break a couple of times, never again! Cheap leashes only do the job until they break on you, no way would I trust a cheap leash especially when handling bigger dogs or dogs that lunge a lot etc. Besides which after holding a well made leather leash nothing else feels as nice and soft.

I mostly want nice looking bowls because they are in our house and I want something that looks nice. They don't have to be expensive, but I'm bored with stainless steel.

The more dogs you work with and around, the more chance you will have in witnessing leash (and/or collar) failure. It definitely does happen. I hope you continue to be fortunate enough to never have this occur to you. It's dangerous for the dog and dangerous for the handler.
