Veteran Sweepstakes At Group Specialities

We have tried both - before and after - and had complaints both times.

The older dogs are going to be more energetic at the start of the day then at the end of the day

We have our Veterans Parade at the beginning of the day. It is "officiated" over by our "Emergency Judge" Each Veteran has a write up in our catalogue, is presented with a medallion and a sausage. It is celebrated as a way of seeing a Living Pedigree.

Depends. If the veterans can enter the normal competition as well then it should be after. If they can't enter the normal competition then before

Our Club has a "Parade of Veterans" during the lunch break ... and although people may be eating etc there is always a good reception for our Veterans.

This is done while the judge is away at lunch as we have Veterans as a competitive class at our Ch shows.

I vote for before. I think its owed to the Veterans to be judged when everyone is paying attention and I don't believe a Veterans result would impact greatly on specials.
