shells
My dog is currently on Dermotic for an ear infection. His 2 front paws seem to have become so itchy that he may gnaw them off (ok thats a bit extreme but you get my gist). Is it safe to assume the yeast infection is also on his paws? What should I treat it with? Would a bit of Dermotic on the paw help? Just wanted to add that there in no cut or sore on either of his paws. ESCS
When our dog had a yeast infection in his paws (he was doing lots of paw chewing and licking too), our vet told us to wash his paws with Malaseb shampoo daily for about a week or so. I left the shampoo on for about 10 minutes before washing it off. I only washed his paws as malaseb can be drying to the skin if used too often. It cleared up his infection. Everythings Shiny
Malaseb would be much better than the dermotic IMHO
Mason_Gibbs
I would use Malaseb too Very important to leave it for 5 mins though before rinsing off.
Erny
I would bath them using Calendula Tea. Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, natural, effective and no need to rinse. Edited February 25, 2011 by Erny
