trifecta
Forget about "catworld" - it's much too controlled as far as rescue & forums are concerned. You now have enough posts to join us in Cat Chat in Off Topic, I think, & needy kitties are also highlighted in the rescue forums.
sparkycat
Catworld is wonderful - lots of lovely people and great advice
Katdogs
There is no equivalent to DOL, anywhere. Cat-world is different in many ways. Rescue forum has kitties, so has PetRescue. The cat chat forum here is nice too. Man DOLers have cats, we just don't talk about them as much as the dogs!
Gayle.
I was very active on Cat-world for a few years, but got thoroughly tired of the forum police and the double standards.
Kirty
Cat-world is much more regulated and therefor 'nicer' but I left because it was just far too controlled. There is now a new rescue forum on C-W and it is more rescue friendly, however there is no advertising of rescues as such. It is still a very useful, very informative site though and has great articles about enclosures, cat health, etc. Edited February 25, 2011 by Kirty
Rozzie
I agree. Pet Rescue or Cat Chat in OT.
jemappelle
Cats of Australia were a great site (and the first cat forum in Australia) but there were some admin problems. Sadly it didn't taken off again once they were sorted. http://www.catsofaustralia.com/forums/index.php?act=idx
Cat
If you are just wanting information about cats CatWorld is good...there is also this one - it is not Australian but I think it has lots of info http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/index.php
