mini girl
My girl on her third season - wrote about her being rather depressed during the season - but she came good - well she allowed my boy to mate with her 4 times now but each time they tie at first she screams - becomes worse when I go to her - after a few minutes she stops it and just stand there - my other girls have never done this so hope all is ok after it is over she is happy and bouncy - I was happy for her to have 3 matings and thought she was pretty well over the time when she would accept him - but it happened again this evening and she still screamed for a few minutes. Do you think its because its her first time or what. Interested if anyone else has had this happen - my other 3 girls I have bred never did this but she is from a different line - it should not have an effect on her pups should it - but another friend of mine who has bred for years said she had a girl scream during the tie to a stud she had taken her to and at 4 days lost the pups. I would not say my girl is highly strung really - and has a beautiful affectionate nature - she loves to see my other girls pups (from a distance - as mum does not like her getting too close - only 3 week old pups) - so I am hopeful she will be a good mother. Any information most welcome.
fifi
Some girls are just drama queen screamers !!! think of *swooning with the vapours* type princesses !! then again it's not a bad idea next time she has a checkup to get the vet to check for any strictures. fifi

Baileys mum
Funny this thread came up as I was thinking of starting a similar thread myself. I bred my bitch for the first time.. this time last year, we got 3 x 20 minute ties but for the first 5 minutes of each tie she screamed the house down. The result was 8 beautiful healthy puppies. We bred her again this week, this time we got 2 x 20 minute ties, once again she screamed the house down for the first 5 minutes. Like your bitch she is always really happy & playful after it is all over over..running round the house doing zoomies & playing with her toys. I guess some bitches are just real "drama queens" It is a good thing that my boy doesn't seem to get bothered with the screaming, as I heard that it can really upset some studs. armahani
My girl is the biggest princess! My repro vet can't even go near her privates with a q-tip without her screaming the house down! A complete obvious flirt, but when it comes to the action, it is a different matter! There are names for a girl like that! I figure some girls are just like that. She's been checked out and there is nothing physically wrong with her. Has had two completely text book litters (although did wake up everyone in a 10km radius when the first pup in her first litter was born) - one with two fresh AIs, one with three natural matings. She's just a bit precious.
laneka
One of my girls was a screamer, I honestly thought the RSPCA would be on my doorstep . I was so worried for her but she is rather precious and even shakes when I cut her nails.
mini girl
Yes it does get a bit of a worry - but hopefully its all over now - but boy oh boy - they decided to have their last session with a tie on our bed and my husband quickly shut the window so the neighbours would not think we were killing dogs - OH well I guess these are the things you have to go through - and as I've said before - do you ever stop learning - we were wondering if she would carry on when her first pup arrives - will be interesting to see - but with all that said she is just so beautiful and worth the screaming - hope we get a nice litter from our little screaming girl. Thanks to all for the reassurance.

My girl is a funny one, while she screams the house down during a tie, she whelped her 8 pups without uttering one single sound, she made whelping look easy. Bob
Hi Minigirl, While it is not uncommon for the bitch to carry on a bit I would have her checked. With one of my girls she was obviously not enjoying the tie for her third litter, no complaints for the previous two. Had her checked and she had a vaginal mass, Not malignant luckily all removed post litter during spay operation.
