kja
The new way facebook shows photos sucketh big time, imo. Thankfully there's a way around it: Bypass it by right-clicking photo thumbnails and select "open in new tab/window" => all gone It does open a whole new window/tab, but it's the old layout and navigation and I find it far less jarring and annoying than the new pop up screen that I detest. It also doesn't resize the images again so the images seem to look better, on the whole.

Bundyburger
It's awful.. and when you close it, the fb window refreshes again..
RottnBullies
I've just noticed that some profile and also fan pages don't have It, It's still the same as It was before, so wondering how have they managed It, does anyone know? I absolutely can't stand It, and would rather not have to open a new window every time!
persephone
Someone told me the easier/quicker way ..with cursor on pic- 'click' the scroll wheel ..and it will automatically open in a new tab - or new window if you don't do tabbed browsing (and why wouldn't you ? :D )
RottnBullies
:D I'm trying to bypass that method though, there must be another way maybe In the settings etc? and why Is that It's only on some but not all? ;)
wagsalot
The open in new tab works for me until I click next then it goes back to the new way. I hate it. I want the old photo viewer back.
