poochiemama
Hi dolers My dogs LOOOOVE playing tug of war and they used to adore the d-man tugs - but his website says he's taking a break and will only be advertising tugs from time to time. Just wondering if you had any suggestions for great tug-of-war toys ? The rope toys they shred quite quickly so preferably something that is very durable... Jeff Jones
Try looking in to tug toys made from french linen, jute or fire hose material.
Max#1
I've got a home made one - made from cutting trakkie pants in long strips then plaiting them together with some knots at either end. Works a treat - and cheap!

I will find out tomorrow for you though. My guys have one of the extra large ones and all 4 dogs can play at once . ETA: I remembered the name Flossy Chew toys. They can be pretty rough sometimes, but they take it fairly well :D

But one time, the dogs caught the neighbours cat, which kept coming into our backyard teasing the dogs. Well they got it once, and they had obviously played tug of war, because it was stretched from one side of the yard, all the way to the other. We live on an acre. So, it was quite disgusting! Poor kitty :D

corvus
I like braided polar fleece. I have one tug toy with a bungee handle that is freaking awesome. The dogs love the give. Just gotta watch out if they happen to let it go!

wagsalot
I found the fleecy clean range pretty good, but the home made ones work just as well (I think I bought mine from a dol'er that was making them at one stage)

sas
For those who loved the Dman 4 strand tugs, I reccomend: http://www.aussieagility.com.au/products/tugtoys.htm http://www.tugstuff.com.au/tug-toys/ They look similar in terms of visual and quality to the tugs we made. Sorry Dman Tugs had to take a break.
