Auto Immune Disease

Hello,

I am looking to contact knowledgable vets with a few questions about auto immune diseases in dogs. I lost a dog to AIHA last year but we only delt with the vets at the emergency clinic. I am hoping to hear from anyone who has also had the unfortunate experience of having a dog with an auto immune disease, and knows of any specialists I could email?

Thank you in advance

I had a dog that I had to have PTS sleep because of this disease and it was thought to caused by over vaccination.

It was easy to remedy for future litters. Hoping for greater success than I had. All the very best for the dog.

Fleur James at Murdoch Vet Hospital in Perth looked after my girl with auto immune problems.

Thank you very much! Is he quite knowledgable on auto immune diseases?

She is a specialist - so I hope so :)

Lol, I was unaware. Thank you very much for your suggestion.

I lost my last dane to IM polyarthritis (and IMHA at the end).

I recommend the Yahoo Group CIMDA (Canine Immune Mediated Disease (A = something)) - it is UK based. The lady who runs it (Jo Tucker from memory) is very knowledgeable and you can email with her directly.
