It is with great sadness that I just leaned of the passing of my childhood dog Towser.

It was not the ever growing tumour on his side that took his life but a fatal snake bite.

Unfortunately Towser was not able to join me when I left home, as he could not be separated from his brother (my parents dog)

He has continued to live with my parents in a beautiful sunny coastal NSW home.

My parents were not concerned with his snake hunting terrier ways and always allowed him to continue.

I was glad to hear he spent today doing what he loved though, running on the beach.

Towser you were my first companion and now that I know more about dogs, how I wish you could have had a better life.

I never understood how to train you and was taught to use force.

I'm sorry

Despite this you were a great dog, no aggression, only love.

You pulled like a steam train on the leash, had no recall and didn't know the word sit.

I wouldn't trade you for the most trained dog in the world

:) Run free sweet Towser, you deserved better.

Not another snake bite!! :hitself: How sad, so many dogs recently being killed by snakes!

Towser looks like a great fellow, I am really sorry for your loss. :bolt:

I have a stuffed toy dog that I was given when I was about 6 months old (so he is 51 years old) and he is called Towser. :laugh:

RIP Towser! :)

RIP Towser! :vomit:

We just had a red belly hiding inside our wall the other day. Luckily we found it though. Our neighbours dog recently passed, from a snake bite too. There really does seem to be a massive increase in the snake population...

R.I.P Towser :rofl::laugh:
