jacqui835
For a while now I have noticed that my dog has 2 freckle like marks on his underside. Can dogs have freckles and moles, or is this something I should be worried about?
HugUrPup
Dogs can get freckles, moles, warts, skin tags and Melanoma. I'd have the spots vet checked to be on the safe side.
poodlefan
Hell yes. Lily my white Toy Poodle is speckled like a Chinese Crested under her coat. Are you sure they aren't your dog's nipples? Both sexes have them. If they're symmetrical either side of the centre of his tum, they may be. If sok he's probably got more too.
dee lee
Has he been running in wet grass a lot? My GR once developed brown spots on her tum, from me not drying her properly after early morning walks. They went away once I started religiously drying her tummy. I surmised that they were some kind of fungal reaction.
jacqui835
Definitely not his nipples, he has those too lol. I have tried gently scraping them to see if they come off, because at first I thought it was dirt stuck to him, but they don't, and on closer inspection they look identical to freckles I have. But I will get them checked at the vet just to be sure. He only has 2 that I can find, but I'm not really sure when they appeared since they're not that noticeable. Thanks guys
rastus_froggy
My staffy girl has SO many freckles, she never use to have any, they have just appeared over time. I'm sure it's from her laying on her back in the sun
