Puppy Pre-schools In North Brisbane

 Share

Recommended Posts

We have a 9wk old Silky Terrier and want to get him started in puppy pre-school.

Can anybody recommend a good on on the northside of Brisbane (we live near Nundah). I've found one or two but without seeing any reviews it is hard to tell if they are any good.

I did PADS with my pup, its very good most of the work is done on lead the pups only get a short 'play' at the end, but they are very aware of how to let the pups interact etc, they are at Eatons Hill so its not too far from you

They are an agility club but they have obedience classes to follow on from the puppy class

Thanks guys.

Our pup is 10wks tomorrow. I'm considering two places for puppy pre-school.

The first one doesn't start until the 23/02 (which will make the pup 13weeks when he starts). This place sounds really good though http://www.cleardogtraining.com/

The second one starts 14/02 which will make him 11wks when he starts, they also sound good but I don't think the trainer is a full-time dog trainer as the e-mail she provided is for a different business.

I want to take him to the first one but I'm worried if 13 weeks is too late to start.

Scarlett started at almost 13 weeks (the previous class started the week before we got her). I've seen 8 week old in class and I'd say IMO 13 weeks isn't too old from a training perspective. From a socialisation perspective it's never too ear;y if all dogs are vaccinated. You can always start with some of the basics yourself.
