Dogsfevr
size, colour, build, temperament.... Want to elaborate?? Springers have a variety of Colours. Welsh don't. Both have different head shapes,Welsh are longer in back lower on leg. Welsh are more laid back /quieter/softer Springers are more "out there " Springer have long ear feathering Welsh don't. http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/commun...ger-spaniel.asp http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/commun...ger-spaniel.asp Edited January 30, 2011 by showdog

The Spotted Devil
Rozzie, if you add the working lines ESS into the mix, they are smaller than a regular ESS, a lot less coat and feathering and run and retrieve like little energiser bunnies. Mad, they are! There is a Welsh Springer that does agility here and looks somewhat more heavily built to my untrained eye.
