Hey DOL members!

I want to share these photos with you. I spent the day with some 'cowboys' and 'cowgirls' at a friends place.

It was a lovely day for it, as you can see in the photos.

They enjoyed a good old fashioned BBQ, had a few drinks, and then got roping. I enjoyed the BBQ, had a few drinks and then had a small 5 minute ride as it was the first time being on a horse in 2 years. I only stayed at a walk, but I didn't come off which is great!!

Here is the link to the photos as they are on my facebook page - it will take forever to upload onto here.

Hope you all enjoy them. :cheer:

really good pics, gee it's alot drier there than in the Yarra Valley, everything's still green here. Very interesting to see the head carriage of the last horse who wasn't wearing a bridle or tie down and had free movement of its head and neck.

Kirislin, thank you. :(

It was very dry out there (just passed Bacchus Marsh), but the dams were still full. :D

The mare your talking about, without the bridle or tie down, is a gorgeous 3 year old mare. It was her first time around cows. She did very well. :)

Should add, Dermy (in some of the photos) is in his late 60's.
