grabonsam
I need to travel from Melbourne to Sydney in August. For comfort reasons (for 1 border collie) I need to break up the trip. Does anyone know of a motel or B&B about half way between the 2 cities? I'm only interested in truly dog friendly places, not places that consider a fenced yard and kennel to be friendly! I'll be travelling with 2 borders who are very well mannered and used to sleeping inside.
Staff'n'Toller
Try stayz.com.au you can search for pet friendly and generally the owners will note if dogs are allowed inside etc.
angelsun
It's not halfway but about a third into it, there is a motel in Wangaratta that accepts dogs on the fringes of town. Can't recall the name but can find out for you if you like
The Spotted Devil
I camped at a very dog friendly place in Gundagai earlier in the year. I think they had cabins as well but most places don't allow dogs inside, which is one reason why I camp. Oh boy, but it was cold My Dally is not very snuggly but he curled up under the doona with me at about 2am even with his coat on - at least I stopped shivering :D
dancinbcs
I can highly recommend Henderson Houses at Wagga - http://www.hendersonshouses.com.au The house we stayed in had a fenced yard, front and back as well as lots of undercover areas, plus the dogs where allowed inside as well.
