JulesP
Not cheap! I've used the Barf ones once and they were the most disgusting things to feed Sloppy, stinky things. Much prefer to make my own up as per the books.
Andisa
How much do the Big Dog patties work out per kg?I can't find prices on their website. also how many grams are in each individual wrapping/patty? I pay about $22 for a box of 12 patties. They're 250g each so 3kg in total. So in answer to your q about $7 per kg. Thank You If anyone wants info from me in regards to Barf please contact me privately - don't want to upset the apple cart again. Cheers. *I am having issues with the internet connection atm so may take a while to reply.
moosepup
I don't find them sloppy or stinky. I remove them from the packaging and defrost in the fridge, no slop, no stink.

Katdogs
Just a bit of an update. We've been using the Big Dog BARF since this thread started and we're very happy with it. It's the only change of diet the dogs have had for ages, everything else we use (dry, health booster powder, added eggs/tuna/vegies etc) has remained the same. However, Stevie's also been undergoing allergy desensitising treatment (dust mites mainly) for the last two months. She's lost two kilos which is a good thing , is shining like a mirror and is bursting with energy. The vets can't believe she hasn't had any skin or ear problems compared with last summer, and compared with lots of other clients this year. I don't know how much (if at all) the change to Big Dog has played in this massive improvement, but we're sticking with it. We don't use the Roo because I can't stand the smell, but all the rest are good. Just a few supply problems - our local people seem to only order when they've run out of almost all of it, so sometimes the selection is reduced.
