Tassie
Piper, what a lovely brag for a great dog - can understand that it's bitter sweet - but at least she can still have fun with the ducks .

Cleo's Corgwyn
Wow, great work by all the WA folk! Nice way to finish a title, Rubystar and Millie, and spectacular work from Ptolemy and your crew! No qualie for us yesterday, as my girl got distracted going into the figure of 8, but I was really happy with her work, and even the judge commented on how nice it was to see such happy, enthusiastic work from a dog. All our hard work on making heeling fun again seems to be paying off. We have a couple of ribbon trials coming up, so hopefully we'll pull off her Novice title soon (plus, I'm itching to watch the looks on people's faces when her DWD title appears in the obedience catalogue!) The Spotted Devil
Oh my goodness Ptolomy What an awesome night you had - congratulations I bet you felt a bit drained when all the adrenaline had passed! Sounds like you had a great weekend too bedazzledx2 Congrats on the title RS! And to Mason as well - nice start to novice at the State trial! Piper, what a lovely brag and to finish on such a positive note is a credit to you
mirawee
I was in a T shirt for most of the night Must have been the alcohol keeping me warm!!!! I was in a tshirt when trialling - didn't have the alcohol to keep me warm though All of the WA DOLers who competed on Saturday night had something to brag about I don't post in here very often but thought I needed to add my brag for the weekend :D First up I had my Finnish Lapphund Varda in CCD and my lovely girl Qed in 2nd place gaining her title in 4 trials (she told me quite convincingly that she will NOT trial during the day as it is too hot ) Then I ended up trailing my friend's Aussie Shepherd, Abbey, in CD as she wasn't able to come at the last minute. Abbey is my agility dog and we have a great relationship with that - but I do very little obedience with her, and signal slightly differently to her owner. Abbey has been sitting on 2 passes for a while, failing something different each time, so we just went out for fun since it didn't matter what we did. Well you could have knocked me over as we WON with a score of 198! So had a mad dash to get her for the Winners of Winners as I wasn't expecting her to have given the quality of dogs/handlers we were against. Stuffed up some auto-sits in the WoW but since we had gone in with no prep I was still very very happy with her :D And I think her owner was stunned when we told her So I can safely say I had a great night at my very first WA State Obedience Trial and my first time in CD Although I still say that agility is much less scary than obedience
Tassie
So I can safely say I had a great night at my very first WA State Obedience Trial and my first time in CD Although I still say that agility is much less scary than obedience - at least in agility it's all over pretty quickly :D Well done mirawee - congrats on Varda's CCD, and on Abbey's great CD score. Another WA inspiration :D
piper
Well done Mirawee - 198 with a dog you don't normally work is quite a brag!!
mirawee
Thanks guys I was just happy to get the final pass with both of them so to get the scores/placings was a real bonus I think Abbey was a bit confused when we went into the ring and there were no jumps though - we lost the points on our first halt when I stopped and she took a couple of extra steps then swung towards me and sat I think I might steal her for Rally-O next year ;)
