Bull Arab
Well it is a brag thread!! It would appear one of the QLD flyball clubs now has 2 chockie BC's. After taking her a year to learn how to learn and after banging my head against a wall repeatedly (and with just a little help from a few who know quite a bit more than I do) my rescue girl has finally made it as a reliable racing dog. Last weekend she did well as start dog (and just to annoy me we got a -0.002) and also ran second, third and last without any problems. To impress me she ran 4.9 seconds several times (with only 12 feet run-up) so as the gap increases and so does her confidence she may even be quite a fast little girl. Not bad for a pound dog that was destined for a plastic bag if I hadn't pushed very hard to give her a chance!!! Oh and the real brag - Her box turn looks like it came straight off a Springloaded DVD!! Edited November 24, 2011 by Bull Arab

Cleo's Corgwyn
Shandy managed her 3rd Novice pass today at the Cooma Show for her CD title, making three titles in 3 months for my Cardi girl! (one obedience and two DWD)
Sayreovi
We had a members comp today and Darcy and I walked away with a first in Novice Jumping, it was our only run as we got rained out but still very happy with him as we hadn't been to training for a few months as we had been doing flyball and showing on my free weekends! I had planned on getting back into agility next year with him as Jovi will be running as well so it's nice too know we still have it, it's been great training Jovi as I think alot of my bad handling habits are going away (hopefully :p). I am not the best handler but definately being in a proper agility club for foundation is certainly helping me so I've applied it unknowingly today with Darcy. pie
Well done CleoJ - three titles in three months, nice going! Well done TO with Darcy Trixie got her JD title tonight, pretty pleased with that :D It was a nice course with a few crosses rather than just straight lines. Was really happy with her AD run too but the weave entry was tough 90 degree angle after a bar, and I over handled it and stuffed her up - whoops should've trusted her more! RubyStar
Congrats CleoJ and amypie on your titles!! Well done TO on your successes, too! No passes for us in agility tonight but a few close runs for Ruby. She popped out of the weaves but managed a pretty tough and lengthy distance challenge in Open Jumping, so close!!! Even closer was her debut Masters Jumping run. She knocked the last freakin' bar!! It was 100% my fault, I slowed down and she did too, getting half over it then looking back at me ready to run to me with her happy face on like she does at the end of a course! I couldn't help but laugh!! No passes for Millie either but she is running with speed and enthusiasm so I'm pretty chuffed!! :D
Ptolomy
Gees lots of nice brags for the end of the year - well done everybody. Cleo J three titles in three months a terrific effort. Amypie can't believe Trixie has her JD title already - she has only been trialing 5 minutes Onto excellent you go......
Sayreovi
Congrats everyone on their successes as well! Have to work on his speed though, he tends to run as fast as me and that ain't fast!! Something too work on over the summer break :D
Agility Dogs
We had a great night last night at our ADAA trial. Xena came second in Open Jumping (this video), won advanced jumping with one fault on a really cool, but really tricky course and then won Open Agility at the end of the night. To top it off she missed Gamblers by .01 of a second! CK drove hard almost all night - it was very hot so that was a great effort from him, although he too just missed the gamble and picked up a couple of faults or went the wrong way on the other courses. Then Wikki did a great go - improving all the time and got one card in starters, but then popped out of the tunnel in elementary jumping. All in all great fun. One more trial for the year! (Unless you count the dusk til dawn new years trial.)
Tassie
Great brags on here this weekend. CleoJ you must be really stoked with your little Cardi girl - well done! And exciting work from all the other braggers. We feel your pain RS - so near and yet so far for us in a wet agility trial on Saturday - second last bar down (mother should just keep her mouth shut), refusal and time when Kirra popped back out of a tunnel (mother should just keep her mouth shut ) - but our DQ percentage was down and we did get 4 first place NQs - which since the trial was sponsored with 3kg bags of dog food for first place - was very, very nice! Sheilaheel02
Great work CleoJ. No luck for us on Sunday at Cooma. The SFE knocked us out of contention again! Mick moved his feet as I returned. We got our SPDX last Tuesday night and first place at the ribbon trial and while it would have been nice to finish his CD this weekend as well, overall, I'm very happy with my wild boy at the moment. pie
Well done on your successful night AD, nice run in that video, one more trial for us too then major withdrawals! Congrats on your SPDX Sheilaheel :D Tassie nice work with the dog food, always a bonus! Amypie can't believe Trixie has her JD title already - she has only been trialing 5 minutes Onto excellent you go...... I know! it was her third trial, I just can't believe how well she has transitioned to trialling, I am absolutely tickled pink. This last trial in particular her confidence was really high and she was running as we do in training. I feel like we have been trialling for longer than just three trials though! I am really looking forward to running Excellent with her next trial and taking the training wheels off to try and push her (and me) more.
Sheilaheel02
Thanks Wuffles, Jude and I ended up having a fab SPDX run after I forgot to watch her first sequence (focussing on my dog not going to his buddy) and she forgot to call "Go!" when she finished it. I saw some of your run and Ava still looked like she was having a blast. MM got a pass in Novice at Cooma on the Saturday, so I guess I will have to perservere with obedience for a bit longer. ;)
Tassie
Way to go with Mick,Sheilaheel .... sucks having to persevere with obedience huh? And don't forget,he will love Rally O. Laughed at your SPDX story - sound like me and my partner - only it's worse now we're is SPDM - made our first pass at Launceston Royal by 0.73 seconds . Given she had a 3 obstacle attention span at agility I would like to see if that has improved as well but think I will give disk dog a go first that looks like too much fun. Dunno if you read Jo's FB but the fast one is on a forced break (and looks like a whippet ATM) so i have a bit more time for the Pup and Billie over the upcoming weeks!!
