I hear the WA Team did well today winning the Teams Comp

   The three dogs in the team would rank amongst the best open dogs in OZ and today they all put in terrific open rounds after a long day of competition. AND they all managed to do their stays.

Raising a glass to Maverick, Brookie and Scoota :D

It was very lovely work and I agree these are definitely some of the top open dogs in the country!!

Well I have a brag too! Yesterday we had a mixed bag of results in UD but today Ella put it all together and won the UD1 ring at the National Obedience Trial with her fourth OC leg to boot!!! Soooo pleased with my girlie!!!! :D

Congrats to everyone on the awesome results...

Well its been awhile since we've checked in here :) breif update

Den and I have started herding recently and he LOVES it :) so we are going to start training for herding titles for next yr sometime which is an exciting thing for us :) We have also been doing ADAA agility which has imporved his confidence something shocking and has made it fun for us again to run.. so far he has earned his BAAD and his AAD title and is well on the way for his SAAD title too which is awesome :)

We had out first ANKC trial yesterday for the first time since March and Den ran really well, it was his mummy that stuffed him around as neither my head or heart was in it yesterday so my handling was off but it was deff some of the better handling I have done in a while I think running lower level courses in ADAA comps has helped me improve upon my handling as their courses are a much different style too. We got just the one Q which was a BIG one for us in Open Agility only 2 dogs in the whole Trial Q'ed and first place beat us by 2.5 sec which isnt too bad for us, Den was a little slow starting out and took a few slips and slides, one more for our ADO :D never thought I would ever get an Open title with anyone, distance training has never been my strong suit...

Well done Seita - congratulations on your win at the Nationals and your 4th OC pass - she will be an OBCH before you know it.

Raising a glass here to.......

Dual CH Brookie and OB Ch Scoota who have both had their last interstate trip. They are a credit to what can be done in the obedience world, Two magnificent dogs who have made their owners so proud in all that they have achieved.....

To Brookie and Scoota......

Woo Hoo.........

They sure are a real credit to what can be done in the obedience world Ptolomy - they are both brilliant and you both deserve to be tickled pink with all they have achieved. They certainly turned a number of heads when they have trialled here at the Adelaide Royal and remained quite the talking point for a number of months.

Well done Scoota, Brookie (Ptolomy and Bedazzledx2) may you enjoy what is left of your last trip interstate and hurry back to Perth and do something about finishing off a couple of UDX titles . Full steam ahead..

That's impressive Jess. Think my Kirra managed 5 last year - but other than the TCH, not as high level as Darcy- great stuff - you must be proud! :D

Just a little brag from me this weekend - but without any trials.

We've decided to give CK and Xena a run in SPDX on the same team. Last night at training I got a friend to run Xena and CK was working with me. We kind of played pairs and they were both just brilliant. No suggestion of either leaving to say hello to me or to the other.

Should be heaps of fun to run with them.

Then I'll be running a Beardie with his Brother in return. Hmmm........

Another Q for Jedi - Elementary jumping!

AND he did his weavers twice today!!!

Unfortunately he had no chance in his agility runs because he's now petrified of contact obstacles after his incident with the dogwalk yesterday. :( poor boy!

The herding thread is too quiet for my brag

My girl and I were entered in the Herding Instinct Test at the Working Dog Club Trial today, and after passing that with judges notes being 'excellent work' we got a move up to the Herding Test. She was so good, walked calmly to the sheep, sat while I led out to the sheep, went around the sheep in the direction I asked for, we steered them around the figure of eight, did her stop and recalled back to me away from the sheep. All in 1 min 36 sec!!! :) and with judges notes again being 'excellent work'.

OH stuffed up the video, it's all fragmented

I'm so proud, as she is only 6 1/2 months old. Second trial in 3 weeks, fingers crossed she gets her first official title at 7 months old. We have started playing in the PT ring too.

Next onto the CCD ring. Yay!

Oohhh and there were so many different breeds today, Belgians, Corgi's, Beardie's, OES, GSD's and my ACD.
