 Love your definition of 'minor brag' RS - well done to you and both girls. Will be nice to have them both in the same jumping class - for a little while, until Ruby jumps her way out. Sounds like she's all better again.

It will be if I can get them both out of AD - because AD and JDX clash!!! So all 4 runs will be over and done with in 10 minutes. I like them a bit more spread out than that laugh.gif

And yep, her leg seems much better :crossfingers: And I am in no rush to get her (or Millie) out of JDX. Masters = eek1.gif

Oh, yes - that would be a bit tough. Just as well you're young

I'm sure it would be! But my handling and teaching skills are just not up to scratch, and therefore, their training isn't up to scratch. Millie would go great guns with the right handler. She has the potential to be fast, but her handler slows her down. If I wasn't so busy with my first two loves, obedience and retrieving, I'd make the effort to get my agility handling up to scratch and learn more. It's a case of I don't really know what I'm doing and until I do, it ain't gonna get any better! It would be a great feeling to handle Millie around a course with ease, She's such a loon and has a hoot doing it (so much so that she ignores me to do her own course :o). I just need more hours in the day and days in the week! laugh.gif

 Oh I so know that feeling RS - poor Kirra has been saddled with me as a rubbish handler for 5 years - I guess I'm getting a bit better (have tried really hard since the Derrett seminar the year before last) - but she still bites me occasionally for unclear handling - and is quite capable of going completely feral - like she did in an ADM run on the 3rd day of Nationals last year.

I used to apologise to Kirra's breeder that she'd given me this dog with lots of potential, and I felt bad that I couldn't bring it out - but she said to me that the dog didn't care about cards or ribbons or titles - she just wanted to be out having fun with her mum - I really liked that.

Finding time is a really hard thing, isn't it.

I've been bitten by the agility bug (though after my 3rd double header weekend in a row next weekend, I might be well and truly over it!!!) and I would like to get better so that I can handle courses with ease, but I don't think it's going to happen unless I ease up on something else so I can train this properly (as most of it initially is going to be a learning process for ME on how to train it), and I really need private lessons. But for one, I can't afford all the private training sessions I need, and secondly, I'm not sure I want to forego one of the other things to make room! What a pickle!! Oh and thirdly, if I do go and pay for private lessons, I would rather put that money towards private lessons in obedience or retrieving  We really do have some tough life decisions to make, don't we :o:laugh:

well we just came back from an obedience trial. Gabby has decided that we can't do towels anymore for the last 2 days so I was thinking of pulling her out but I thought I would just see what she would do before the trial and she did them so off we went in. Should have pulled her out we couldnt even do the seekback. We went in ud and I thought she would do crap as we have had problems ( the first article hits you so we dont want to do the first article so not to do first article you'll jump the jump instead of running to the box)with the mood she was in she had passed 189 and than on the last food refusal licked the chicken  . Went into open got 196 and third place. Inka got 196 and 1st place in open and ud well lets say we forgotten how to do things like missed position in heelwork instead of sitting next to me we moved in front and sat in front of the articles moved in the stand for exam and the best one you quickly sit up and than lay down  so back to the drawing board agian lol

I hear the WA Team did well today winning the Teams Comp

   The three dogs in the team would rank amongst the best open dogs in OZ and today they all put in terrific open rounds after a long day of competition. AND they all managed to do their stays.

Raising a glass to Maverick, Brookie and Scoota :D
