Well done on everyones qualies in both obedience and agility  :D

We had our obedience trial tonight. Young Gabby has totally forgotten about ud she didnt even know how to do a drop in the signals she actually missed it twice :D

but she did make it up in the open winning the class with 194 she even got 30 out of 30 for the heelwork

But the biggest brag Inka got a first place in open she actually done both the sit and drop stay :):) she got a first place as well with 193 I was just amazed that she did all of her stays cause now that she can do sits she has been blowing the drop :)

it's not quite a brag but I trialled last night with Ella and it bucketed down with rain while we were in the ring. Ella probably did her best work to date despite the rain and the poor girl was barely able to see due to the water in her eyes. She blew both directed jumps in different ways but got full marks for everything else which I was really proud of. She's really testing me with this directed jumping, so far she's found at least 5 different ways to blow this... I'm just hoping she's got it all out of her system now and is ready to start doing them properly again! LOL

Well done Ella! We had the complete opposite in Melbourne today - absolutely gorgeous Autumnal day of 22C (although it did start with a pea soup fog!)

Ziggy and I were entered in Croydon's trial this morning - above all else I had a really happy, confident dog in the ring which thrills me to the core :) As an added bonus he earned his final pass for Novice with 191 and 1st place :) The judge commented that my handling was really nice and that we worked as a team, which is just brilliant as I have been concentrating on that for the last month.

I have a few things to work on, which I suspect are due to slightly different training vs trialling handling on my part, but for now I'm going to enjoy the rest of the day (once I've packaged up all the 4 Legs food he won!!!) and be pleased with what we've achieved. Perhaps a nice cold ale will aid me in that ;)

ETA: Just have to add that I was so chuffed with the stays as the neighbouring (male) Rottie decided to get up, stand right over Zig and then play bow like a complete clown! Ziggy did not move, apart from leaning back to try and hold his sit without being squashed :( I also met Sue & Cindy!

It was awesome work. I didn't know it was you while I watched you in the ring but he was so happy! I held my breath when the rottie wanted to play with ziggy (by which time I had worked out who you were), he did so well. Well done.

 Wow - so many great results - well done troops - and commiserations on near misses. Don't know about anyone else, but I'm really getting heaps of help and inspiration from you guys.

My little brag is a Novice Rally O club pass for Mr Rory - 92/100 - silly handler made mistakes and a few crooked sits. And then I put him in Novice in a club obedience test. Really pleased with his heeling - though we had a bit of inattention when there was a RAT at the side ropes right next to where a jump was stashed :D - full marks for SFE - yay! but lost points in Recall - slowish coming in and squiffy sit at the end. Then I went and ruined it by a really crummy DB throw - barely went 4 metres rolling along the ground ;) - and the boy couldn't believe I actually wanted him to fetch it - so second command. . Chickened out of stays - didn't want to risk a possible eyeballing match with a GSD - they're still learning to cope with being near each other, so better to avoid trouble. So plenty to work on - but plenty of promise too.

I consciously channeled Ptolomy when I was starting to lose focus partway through the heel pattern - thanks Ptolomy - it helped :thanks: .

That was what wrong with me I forgot to channel ;)

Well done with your results.

Let me tell you if there was a rat near me I would be gone in a flash. I am totally rodent phobic!

LOL Sue & Cindy - RAT as in right about turn - not the hairy variety  Yep - think I would have lost the dog if it had been the hairy variety. We did have a rabbit around during stays at training one night - helped to keep the dogs sitting up nicely .

Jess JD - lovely DSO.

Thanks all!

Sue & Cindy - it was really lovely to meet you today. At least now I won't be looking for a Golden Retriever on the end of your lead  I think you should change your avatar :thanks:

Tassie - well done with Mr Rory....don't worry, we all have those "shame about the handler moments"! PMSL @ the RATs ;)

Ooooh, congratulations to DSO and Jess also on the JD title

Wow glad to be of assistance Tassie - now if it was only that easy to pass UDX! Well done on your Rally results.

Raising a glass to TSD and Ziggy - a novice title and a great way to finish it off - well done

HUGE congrats to Caffy and Snazzy who this arvo took out open jumping at the State titles - it was a super run which would have been even faster if Snaz had a start line stay and didn't start the timer running with his nose before Caffy was ready!!!!!!!!!! Well done mate
