Feeding Barf

oh cool so stick with chicken frames and brisket bones then??

To save room in the freezer either stack a couple of frames inside each other or fill the cavities with minced meat/fruit/veggies, bag individually and you have a great meal in one. This is how I feed my dogs http://www.dogs.net.au/andisa/how-i-feed-my-dogs.asp (note the site is under construction again). There is also another page on Raw Feeding.

There are many ways you can feed your dogs, it totally depends on what fits your situation best. I prefer to weigh out everything so I pack everything seperately. Others prefer to prepack into meals. A friend of mine prepacks the veges and meat into takeaway containers. They feed once a day and a kilo of food is fed to each dog. They have kelpies and Rotts. They feed one meal of bones, which they have pre weighed and the next meal is the vege/meat mix. They just thaw it out and put it in the dogs bowls. So that is something you will have to work out for your self.

Thank you to both Laneka and Andisa for your info. Andisa the pics from your website is great, easily explained and to see the food all laid out, then info on how much for each breed, is really great... Same with Laneka's info and pics... Off to do some more research :D ...

Your welcome - keep in mind though it is just a guide - some dogs are better do'ers that others. Mine are very good do'ers and need to keep an eye on them. Too many bones will make them fat, I have fallen for that many times with my dogs, go by eye and feel and you will be right. There is more I need to update hopefully one day it will be finished. :D

You are more than welcome. Any time at all. The reason I mince up my own veges is my dogs will not eat the barf patties. Also I know exactly what I have put into the mix. My guys won't eat kangaroo either, wish they would but no, they act like they are offended when I have offered it to them. Guess they are just fussy. I do have dry food on hand as well. Sometimes they like something different so I add a small amount to their food.
