-Megz-
Hey there, Just a quick one to let any lurking locals know that I will be holding Show Training/Child Handler Training at the Winnellie Show Grounds on Sunday 23rd January from 10am. Normal Regulations apply in regards to dogs being onlead at all times as well as registered and vaccinated. Feel free to pass this far and wide to anybody. Hoping this will become the first of many sessions to encourage some of the young and young at heart to take up and continue with this hobby! Paptacular!
Just a shame that the dog who needs the training and socialisation is currently incapacitated at the moment. Will this training become a regular fixture?

WreckitWhippet
Good for you Megz and I'm sure your advice and various breed experiences will be invaluable to others. You can take Fwarkie along as your demo dog ( the how not to do it ) :D

Could show people their dog really isn't that bad hahaha ;) ;) ;) He's an experienced child handlers dog . He's also a VERY quick learner as one handler discovered, when the judge repeated a request and then on the third lap around asked for something different. Fwarkie thought he was supposed to do what he'd done before and executed it beautifully , much to the horror of his handler He's challenged many a child to a victory they earned their placing with him :D
darwinroyal
Megz, you have reminded me, I need to apply for the NT SAFE ochre card: Working With Children It may be something that others need to investigate? The timeframe is 01/03/2011. Part of the checking is whether DogsNT need to authorise letters of authority.

liamber
This sounds great, I might be there. Good on you for getting this together. Hopefully you can help me out with my boy on the table and perhaps bring the show stackers. At least I won't get picked on by you for suggesting such a thing. God forbid me for being so cruel :D
