LizT
Reminds me of Greyfriars Bobby :-((fifi I was thinking the same thing. I have a little Greyfriars Bobby that someone brought back from holidays for me. At least Bobby had the village to look after him. I hope someone can care for this poor loyal dog. Souff
If one of your dogs sits by your grave it wont be the saddest day of your life - you'll be dead. What a harrowing photo. pssst Raz, me and PE are planning on being immortal .... That photo slams home just what other people are living through.
BonJosie
Gorgeous photo. So sad. Looks just like my first dog too. I'm a tragic for these sorts of stories though. I cried when I visited the Hachiko statue in Tokyo! ;)

Whimsical
A very worthy thread for my 2000th post. There is a movie about a dog going to a cemetery to sit at his masters grave. It was called Greyfriars Bobby, and was a Disney production I think, also a true story. Even sadder is the true story of Hachiko, an Akita who waited every day for 9 years at the train station for his master to return from work, not knowing that his master had died. Hachi died there and there is now a monument at the spot. It was in Japan. Richard Gere starred in the movie "Hachi" which is based on this. Get the tissues out if you watch it! Well, if any of my dogs sit at my grave, it will be the saddest day of my life. No, their lives! Thanks koalathebear
Whimsical
Well that will teach me to read to the end of the posts before making a comment! My apologies to those who already came up with the information I just foolishly volunteered! My intentions were good, nevertheless. Linda
