cowanbree
I was wondering how often you can safely apply the flea treatments. I have finally found one that works and want to do the rest of the house but they have already been done with advantage 24/12 and frontline 2/01. When is the earliest I can safely apply it again? BMAK
read the back of the box it will tell you when they should be applied next i think frontline is every two weeks and advantage is every month (don't take my word read the back of the box just in case) not sure why you need to apply two lots of different brands at the same time though?? You could be doing more harm then good combining both ?
cowanbree
Because the formula in each is slightly different and frontline and advantage have made zero difference in stopping the itching but the advocate which I used on a few of the adults has stopped it dead
Crisovar
Because the formula in each is slightly different and frontline and advantage have made zero difference in stopping the itching but the advocate which I used on a few of the adults has stopped it dead If the Advocate has worked, you may be looking at mites and not fleas? Advocate works well against mites, where as the other two products are not effective. You are wanting to apply Advocate to the remaining dogs now yes? Just trying to follow sorry. I would ring Bayer and check, I have 2 weeks in my mind, but I would check with Bayer. I have used Advocate 2 weeks after Advantage but not after Frontline. cowanbree
have suspected mites from the beginning but haven't been able to prove it. My vet has done a couple of scrapings but we haven't been able to find anything. I have never thought it was fleas as I am not getting bitten which I always do if there is even one flea in the house and I have not been able to find one single flea on any of the dogs. Hopefully doing everyone including the cats in Advocate will clear this issue up once and for all.
