Beth.
Well this morning me and my parents had to go get some sand bags to block off our house - at the moment the water is maybe half a meter from our house - but it's still rising, so all we can do is hope it doesn't reach the house!!! This is the main bridge into the town side of Dalby across the Myall creek - people are able to cross (don't think I would be!!!), but it's closed to cars The Dalby RSL carpark Our little helper - while we were unpacking sandbags!!! This photo was taken from the front steps of my parents house - and the water is higher still now!! The end of our street.. My mum in the backlane - just outside out backyard! Another shot down the end of our street... And this not-so-little fella floated on by... http://www.flickr.com/photos/57616405@N07/5341401733/ Edited January 11, 2011 by LuvLottie

Mrs Rusty Bucket
Snook I can't really tell from that photo but it looks like a wolf spider. I could be wrong. I have those in my back yard and I wish they'd eat the redbacks. I sure as hell would not be standing in the flood water - raw sewerage - eek. I'm a bit worried - if it gets really bad - and people are forced to evacuate - they won't let you take your pets. You'd want to get them out early. Trouble is - where do you take them and when will it stop raining? I feel really sorry for Dalby - this is the second flood in a month - yes? And I just heard - Toowoomba has copped it. Beth.
Hi All - thanks for the well wishes!! Everything is ok at the moment (although - I also rent a house in Forest Hill for uni - and have NO idea what's happening there ;) ;) ). Thought i'd share a couple photos from my nannas house - i'm staying here with them to help with moving things and just to be around 'in case' anything needs doing!!! They live on the opposite side of the Myall Creek - and have the dogs with them - and thankfully the water isn't as bad over there!!! Nothing on what it is at my nannas place!!! Looking from my nannas steps It's said to go higher again tonight then this!!! Me standing out there! Across the road isn't so lucky And here's a video from yesterday - the current was just unbelievable!!!! I hope everyone out there stays safe and dry!!!!
