Permoxin And Shampoo

 Share

Recommended Posts

Shampoo needs to be rinsed off but Permoxin doesn't ... so I would use it as a final rinse if you really wanted too otherwise just use a spray bottle and drench the dog later.

Single tank hydrobath, there's no rinsing happening here  Tiny amount of shampoo involved though.

Just wanting to know if the permoxin is effective when mixed with the shampoo do you know?

I would dump the shampoo water and refill for a rinse with the permoxin myself.

Yep, been using it in a spray bottle every second day but as they're now getting bathed weekly for shows I was just interested in cutting out one step and chucking it in the hydrobath on bath day instead of in the spray bottle.

Maybe won't bother.

I would stick to the spray- 10ml to 400 ml water last ages using this way on my Rotts. You would need a lot more added to bath tank to keep the correct ratio so a lot of wastage.

I would just mix it up in a container and pour it over the dog at the end of the bath. 600ml would be heaps. I find it heaps easier than the spray.

I apply it with a sponge. Be very careful about getting it on the dogs face. I touched my eye with my finger, which had just been holding the bottle & believe me it felt like I had acid in my eye. Got me wondering about what happens when the dog wipes its face/eyes with a paw which has Permoxin on it

It's great stuff though  slight sidetrack:o ...we only get stickfast/rabbit fleas here... and they congregate on eartips/between toes, and on bare belly . all areas quickly and easily and economically sprayed with permoxin ..and the dogs accept it happily

With a single tank you just empty the shampoo water and refill with clean water to rinse unless you have a separate fresh water hose to rinse with . All shampoo needs to be rinsed out always. Then if you need to apply permoxin it should go on after the shampoo has been rinsed out.
