Hi Murve,

I recommend you invest in some good cycling gloves. they will be wind and cold resistant making the ride in this weather much more enjoyable. :)

Will have to invest in some of those gloves too Abbiestar. I piked today, too bloody cold for me, besides I had a massage this morning :D was too relaxed after that to go for a ride....

Thanks for the offer Murve, I have a large bottle so I am right for now :) Very nice of you to offer to get some for me though. Your boy is gorgeous  On Monday morning I will be the one in the black Toyota Kluger with the ROTTN1 number plates, will have the dog trailer as well and will be parked near where we do herding trials (large off lead area) next to the pavillion. Will be there between 9.30 and 10am depending on how long it takes me to get organised in the morning.

Handsome lad there Murve :D

I have just figured out who he is :)

We biked and walked today, missed out yesterday because I biked and walked in the morning then had to pull a calf in the afternoon the day before so my muscles were a little tired!

Lewis just loves the biking, you put your shoes on and get the lead and as soon as he see's the bike or you say bike he is a jumping, waggy bundle of Whippet!

Being a cycling nut, I know that there is so much gear available to make riding in all weather more pleasurable. Gloves, windproof jackets, arm warmers. leg warmers etc.

Probably overkill for an ET, but nice to know we have choices! :)

Good luck training.

Can't guarantee it, but if I can get there I will. Will be in a silver Mercedes-Benz wagon with "VIZ" number plates.

Google is my friend :) I googled your prefix and a DOL profile showed up, then wahla a lovely WHippet :)

He was a dog that was put forward to me by someone who had seen him in the flesh as a potential stud dog one day :)

That would be great if you can join us Abbiestar :D

I will bring Malika as well, just to give her a short burst

I think having a few of us there we can help each other in particular with encouragement

What do you guys think???

Yep seen those before as well :)

Lewis is really starting to look like a VERY fit dog, he has always looked fit, but now he is starting to look rather nicely polished :) Love a fit looking dog :)

here here I agree with you :D

when I had my Sibes 20 plus yrs ago I paced them a few times a week, then they started blitzing in the show ring in particular under International judges, had a no. of judges commented how toned up they looked.

Will do my best, but having my own business, can't guarantee being able to get away.

If I can't get there, ride as a group in single file. If anyone has a speedometer on their bike, put them up front to act as pacesetter.

Pacesetter to ride at a steady 10-11kph. Try to cover all surfaces - gravel, grass and bitumen. Practice overtaking on the right and getting back in order.

Back in 2003 I was president of the Vizsla Club when we held our first ET (and the first ET run at KCC). I designed the course used for the test. I could probably still find the map on my computer if you are interested.

The course has probably been amended over the years, but the idea is good and covers all three surfaces, the entire grounds and is a 2 kilometre loop that starts and ends outside the main office doors.

Hope the weather is kind. KCC is a quagmire when under water!

Business takes priority over other activities.

Oh I know the Park can be a quadmire, we do Obedience training there every Sun.

that would be great having a rough idea of the course thank you Abbiestar :)
