With the dollar so very high, I'd still be checking US sites - B&H is still kicking the ones I cross-checked in the teeth price-wise, even with shipping.

So saying, I have dealt with photo continental and they are very good. I'd certainly use them again if they were competitive.

no prob. i think i'm buying my new camera from them, as they seem to have the best deal i can find for what i want (besides maybe dwi, but not sure i wanna buy it from overseas)

i want the nikon d90 with 18-55 and 55-300 kit lenses

eta. just checked out the camera and lenses i wanted on b&h, and with postage and the fact it's just over $1000 and i'd have to pay tax, it isn't cheaper than what i can get here damn i was hoping it was cheaper!

Prices have dropped everywhere a lot lately - lens I want next was about 1800 a few weeks back but lately Teds had it for about 1300. And at 1300 locally it isnt worth getting it from B&H. If I can still find it for $1300 later on next month then I'll get it from here instead of the US

B&H have the 70-200 2.8 IS so cheap *cry* Why did it have to be xmas and why did I have to spend so much!! I really want it for the Australian Open... hire is looking good right about now...

Check d-dphotographics as well, I bought a wide angle through B&H a few months ago, since then d-dphotographics have dropped their prices near what I can buy at B&H.

So might be worth looking into for anyone who wants to buy from an aussie supplier. They are great and a lot of photographers use them.
