OK to add a bit of class.

Name three famous people to be owned by Afghan Hounds?

You

Lowenhart

Lady of the Ghans. :cheer:

:)

I know Picasso had one, but that's as far as I can get without Google.

One of the Marx bros, but I can't recall which one. I always thought that was appropriate, as most Affies I have met have been clowns :cheer:

Is there a prize for someone who gets none right at all? I'm scoring well there.

Oh, but...Miss, Miss, Miss! Queen Victoria owned a Pekinese, too.

Oops! Got to ask a question. What was the breed of her hubbie, Prince Alfred's, favourite dog?

What film director made a short film for television starring his own kerry blue terriers?

Name two famous people who own wheaten terriers.

Name the Irish terrorist who used to show his kerry blue while being hunted by the British.

Did I miss the answer to this? How interesting!!

Love the pics of Churchill with the poodles! Something else I didn't know. Both called Rufus too :). Reminds me of my Grandfather who had a Mini Dachshund called Monty. Ever since I could remember! It was only when I was in my late 20's that I discovered that there had actually been three Monty's!

Oogh, look Q. Vic had a parrot, VERY quiet and good natured sight hounds, and a Cavalier.

"Famous" means someone other than you mother knows who you are.

WTF is

Hwang Woo-suk
Poodlefan? Sounds llike something on a Chinese restaurant menu?

And it was Moe

where's my cigar?

No cigar. :)

The real start of the breed in the US started with the first Ghazni imports in 1931, when Zeppo Marx and his wife brought from England a bitch, Asra of Ghazni, and a dog, Westmill Omar.

Now this is truely dog trivia.. get googling folk!!

How many dogs survived the sinking of the Titanic and what breeds were they????

No idea - but for special bonus points, what breed did the Captain of the Titanic own - it wasn't on the boat when it went down though.

And the clue, Q Vic owned these too, although it was her daughter in-law who really took an interest in them.
