Crazy Daisy
Hi, We have a mozzie problem and they are driving me mad. I have found an ultrasonic mosquito repeller that I thought would be better than using a spray all the time. I'm worried about it affecting the dogs. Has anyone used an ultrasonic device in the house when you have pets?
Kaz
I once tried one that was supposed to keep mice away. Didn't bother the dogs one little bit. Didn't bother the mice either

Fit for a King
I use the ones that plug into a powerpoint - not ultrasonic - you add a small blue pad of insecticide - I change them every few days - very quick working - don;t seem to affect the dogs at all..... I use these too - I think they are made by Mortein. They work well, but I worry about the inhaling chemical thing, still when mozzies are bad, a bit of chemical is probably less of an issue than disease carry mosquitos. I had a room once, when a door had been left open, just filled with mozzies, hundreds of them. I closed the doors and windows and put one of those things on and in 20 minutes, every mozzie was dead and on the floor. They also work if you leave the door open, but don't work as well if you have fans on.
