Mason_Gibbs
I got a new lens yesterday, the other kit lens, Canon 55-250mm f4-5, I have taken a few shots just to mess around with the new lens and I have found that on the largest aperture it blurs the background out a lot more than the 18-55mm does. I like the effect but now I am wondering if maybe there is something wrong with my 18-55mm? Is this normal?
Linda K
perfectly normal, the longer lens would be applying more compression due to it being a telephoto lens, what you are seeing is the difference between wide angle and telephoto lenses
