Guest Willow
LINK "POLICE are investigating the deliberate killing of a pet dog, which was run down outside a Balcatta house early this morning. Sergeant Gerry Cassidy said the owner let his dog out the front to go to the toilet just after midnight. ``He heard a yelp and has seen a dark coloured Mitsubishi Lancer line the dog up between the verge and the wall,'' Sgt Cassidy said. The car hit the dog and sped way, leaving the animal with fatal injuries. Witnesses said there were four or five people on board and police believe an air rifle may have been fired during the incident. Comment has been sought from the RSPCA. Anyone with information about the attack is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Link to comment
Cody
Oh, how sad. But people should never let their dog out without a lead in an unfenced area. Poor dog. Link to comment
Sue
I remember the same thing happening here in NZ years ago. An elderly couple let their beautiful setter out to toilet on the road verge. A car carrying young people came along the road, deliberately swerved onto the the grass verge and hit the dog, then speed away. Your dog should be safe on the verge, whether leased or not, from deliberate attack by f******ts. I don't know what motivates these people. Pity any dependants they have as they will show no mercy to them either. Edited December 11, 2010 by Sue Link to comment
poochmad
I don't understand how people can be so cruel. But there are idiots and there will always be iditos. I just hope that something happens to them so that they finally wake up to themselves. Link to comment
sandra64
While the penalties are next to nothing, anyone with a cruel tendancy can do whatever without drama. They are more likely to get charged for wilfull damage to the bloody front yard than what they did to the dog Link to comment
