Big Day Out For Dogs 2010

The fourth annual Big Day Out for Dogs is this Sunday at KCC Park (State Dog Centre), Westernport Highway, Skye Victoria. Melwasy 128 J12

This day is free to attend and dogs are most welcome. The grounds will open to the public at 10:30am.

There will be Lure Racing and Lure Coursing going throughout the day. There will also be agility, dances with dogs, retrieving, obedience and herding demos. Visiting dogs can have a go at some of these sports.

And at 1:00 in the main ring will be the fun competitions including Waggiest Tail.

I was looking forward to coming to this, but I can't bring my doggy now, as she's recovering from surgery. I might bring the kids down anyway. Its always nice to meet everyone else's dogs.

This sounds like so much fun! I would love to bring my dog, but she gets waaaayyyy too over-excited when she sees other dogs, it would probably be disruptive. Maybe I'll just bring the OH just to have a look-see & meet all the lovely dogs.

Went to this today and it was simply fantastic! Got to cuddle with some GORGEOUS pugs & shelties, watched the fantastic obedience demo by the Dally club (my fav breed!) and met lots of lovely people (perhaps a few were DOLers, but I have no idea) especially a wonderfully patient Japanese spitz breeder who answered every single one of my questions while having her lunch! Looking forward to coming to this again next year, this time with my Emma in tow!
