KKDD
Great, informed post RR-Melbourne. The increasingly serious outcomes for dogs declared dangerous is the same as for any breed isnt it? The laws in NSW certainly involve increasingly serious penalties once your dog is involved in any 'attack' and the attack doesnt have to involve any contact, it just has to involve a person feeling intimidated by a dogs behaviour. Once a dog of any breed gets declared dangerous in NSW, restrictions on how they must be housed and managed in public apply, and the death sentence comes in pretty quickly if they are involved in further misdemeanors. What a shame more people with snappy snarly little fluffers arnt as responsible as Sascha's owner.
Staranais
There is no doubting or denying that Pit Bulls can be dog aggressive but there are many ways of turning a Pit Bull type dog into a canine good citizen. There is a Pit Bull rescue group on the internet called bad rap, they give many hints and training advice for bull breeds. Bad rap have an amazing website! http://www.badrap.org/rescue/owning.html
GeckoTree
I've never heard of staffy X's being restricted anywhere in Australia. Best leave the word pit bull out of it alltogether for sanity's sake. everything i have read about vic says its only the purebreed ones that are restricted.
