Greytmate
Whatever you think is a fair price? Call the place that does the check, ask them how much, and if you want more information you're going to have to do a bit better than 'strange scream'. WreckitWhippet
A basic consult , anywhere from $40-$120 depending on where you go. After that, who knows, it depends what the issue is , how it's diagnosed and what treatment if any will be used.
persephone
A 'strange scream' could well be crying with pain. A 'check' might need to involve tests to find the pain, and treatment to fix the cause of the pain. When they are at the vets ask how much it might be- that way they know in advance. poodlefan
Are your friend's fingers broken? If not, tell them to pick up the phone, call the local vet and ask them. We don't know for sure what their local vet will charge, or what's wrong with the dog. A dog that's screaming needs a vet NOW.

Moselle
I told him and he finally took his pet to vet. Fortunately, nothing wrong with his pet. I feel confuse to his pup why scream wothout any sicks/pain. What breed is it? is it a pup or an adult dog? How does your friend treat the dog? It all sounds strange...
