persephone
earplugs aren't very practical... and they don't stop the vibration, or the change in atmospheric pressure If the dogs are young/playful... get them involved in a game outside ..or inside. I always try & take pups out for a good run/play when it's stormy - so when they grow up they associate it with good times... not fussing and hiding Just keep to the normal routine... use some rescue remedy/burn some lavender oil- give them a bone ... that said- Hamlet has just come in & put himself to bed - he's not keen on storms either. No noise or anything..he just goes to bed & waits it out- we ignore him. AmandaJ
Bonnie only barks because Charlie does...you're right - distract them and ignore them. Bonnie is now asleep at my feet and Charlie has ducked under the covers....big chicken!
