mrs tornsocks
I'm a pretty average photographer, although I do have a dlsr. I'm about to put some clothes online to sell, some are designer and others unworn, so I'd like to show them off in their best light. Does anyone have some tips on how best to take these shots at home and without a model ? I've tried to hang them off a few places (eg tall bookshelf, dining room chairs, door frames but everything looks crap). Any tips appreciated ! huga
Outside in natural light (but not direct sun or dappled light). You could try the Etsy forums for ideas: http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6646920

Etsy sellers have a real knack at photographing and showing off their products in the best way. I would have a look around the site as well as the forums to see what other people do ETA my favourite sellers for reference http://www.etsy.com/shop/craftycrowvintage http://www.etsy.com/shop/RaleighVintage http://www.etsy.com/shop/flourclothing Edited November 28, 2010 by KnucklesDutchnUs
