persephone
perhaps try a whole chicken wing instead :D You can also part freeze it.. so they don't gulp it down ....
Bundyburger
My puppy got chicken necks at 8 weeks. He'd been brought up on them though and knew not to inhale. A chicken wing would probably be better, just bang it with a mallet to crush the bones up a smidge.
quickbrownfox
My breeder let me give my dog chicken necks at 8 weeks. The puppy is too young to have it whole, so bash it with a meat mallet before giving it to her.
pie
Yep I fed my puppy wings when she was 9 weeks (When I got her) I gave the joints a whack with a meat tenderiser first to break the bones a bit and make them easier to eat.

W Sibs
My breeder was feeding Emmy chicken necks before we got her at 9 weeks. Charlie was fed chicken neck at 8 weeks. It took him a long while to eat it. Yeah.. we bashed the neck till it was softer and easier for them to eat it
Ellie
I gave my babies chicken wings at 7 weeks. I cut them in half and made sure they were always supervised while eating them.
dunnwarren
Why not feed them good size rib bones, that's what mine get to chew on and never a problem
