I voted 'Other'. At the moment we are just using the stuff that our hydrobath has, which we love. I have no idea what it is though! At home he's only been shampooed with Excelpet as that's what we use on the cats and we have no idea which shampoo we want to buy for Kyojin for washes in between going to the hydrobath.

I use mainly Fido's - the herbal one and the white & brite and find it works quite well.

I have some Aloveen and Triocil on hand as well as I find these are quite good if there are any skin flare-ups.

I start my dogs bath off always with a good lathering from a bar of Sunlight soap. It seems to clean them well and keeps them fresh - i've also been told it's worked quite well for dogs that have very sensitive skin who get a reaction from other shampoos.

ETA: I haven't tried a lot of shampoos so look at others from time to time. There was one whitening shampoo I tried once that worked really well on the dogs but "burned" me so I decided to stop using it.

Just used Vetzyme flea shampoo on the one I am showing tomorrow - keeps the coat nice and harsh, rinses easily.

Also use UK brand DeZynaDog shampoos and the Groomers EPO, interesting to know people like the banana and mango shampoo they do, I think it smells like vomit! lol

Hi becks, I have 3 Westies and use laserlites which is ok but their hair is really soft...do Vetzyme have a non-flea shampoo that leaves their hair feeling like wire?

Or is there another shampoo that leaves the coat coarse-feeling (I don't strip the dogs)

Shampoo won't create a texture that isn't already there. If the dogs are clipped, I just use a white shampoo and then a conditioner on the westies I clip as they just have the softer undercoat and no coarse top coat.

Anything chemical free for my two. Badger was bathed last week in my chemical free shower wash and he came up so white!

I've only just starting using Plush Puppy, for both general and show washes.

Their coat is really nice after just using the shampoo for normal washes, but after doing a show wash and using all the recommended products I will never use anything else for a show wash again!

the Groomers cucumber and something shampoo is also good for keeping the coarse texture, only tried it recently as their customer service in the UK is terrible.

Maybe you should order in from Oz Becks - talk about sending coal to Newcastle

probably be quicker! last time I bought from them was at a show, after waiting ages in line to pay, it still took over 10 minutes from initially taking my items from me to cash up to being asked for payment and I still had to remind them for a receipt twice.

Newcastle could probably use the coal as it is buried in a couple of feet of snow atm! lol

The Aussie suppliers of Groomers have great service - we're very lucky.

Lots of folk on a UK based Whippet forum have been posting pics of their dogs in the snow. We're just drowning here.. so much rain!!
